What we do

Most management training feels disconnected from the real problems managers face. Meetings that go nowhere. A team member who is technically brilliant but impossible to give feedback to. The pressure to hit targets while also being "approachable." We built our programmes around those exact situations.

Every course includes live practice sessions where participants work through scenarios drawn from their own workplace. We do not rely on generic case studies about fictional companies. Before a programme begins, we interview participants and their line managers to understand the specific challenges they are dealing with. That research shapes the exercises, the discussion topics and the follow-up coaching calls.

Our trainers have managed teams themselves, in sectors ranging from financial services and healthcare to engineering and hospitality. They bring that first-hand experience into every session, which means participants hear real examples rather than textbook theory.

Our core programmes at a glance

Each programme can be delivered on-site at your offices, at our training space in Barrowsborough, or as a live virtual session. Group sizes are capped at twelve to keep discussions productive.

New manager foundations

A two-day programme for people in their first twelve months of managing others. Covers delegation, one-to-one meetings, giving feedback that sticks and handling the shift from peer to boss. Participants leave with a personal 90-day action plan reviewed by their trainer.

Leading through change

Restructures, mergers, new systems: change unsettles teams. This one-day intensive helps managers communicate clearly during uncertainty, maintain morale and identify early signs of disengagement. We use a simulation exercise based on a real organisational change to practise these skills under pressure.

Senior leadership development

For heads of department and directors who need to think beyond their immediate team. This four-session programme, spread over eight weeks, tackles strategic planning, cross-functional influence and building a leadership culture. Between sessions, participants complete structured assignments with coaching support.

Why organisations choose us

A trainer leading a management development session

We measure outcomes, not just satisfaction scores. Three months after every programme, we follow up with participants and their managers to find out what has actually changed. Has the frequency of one-to-ones increased? Are team meetings shorter and more focused? Is the manager delegating tasks they used to hoard? Those are the metrics we care about.

Our pricing is transparent. We quote a fixed fee per programme that includes preparation, delivery, materials and three months of follow-up coaching calls. There are no hidden extras for travel within Scotland or for adapting content to your sector.

Since 2017 we have worked with NHS trusts, local councils, fintech start-ups, construction firms and third-sector organisations. That variety keeps our training grounded: what works in a hospital ward is different from what works on a building site, and we adjust accordingly.
